BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China holds that the resolution to be adopted by the United Nations Security Council must be conducive to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and peace and stability in Northeast Asia, a foreign ministry spokesman said Thursday.

    Concerned parties were negotiating the resolution and China took part in the discussion in a responsible and constructive manner, Qin Gang told a regular press briefing here. 

    BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China on Thursday rejected India's allegation that there were increasing border-crossing incidents by Chinese military forces.

    "We cannot accept such an allegation and expect relevant Indian figures and media be responsible and do something good for bilateral ties," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press briefing.

    BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China said on Thursday Japan's announcement of a 15 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions falls short of international expectations to tackle climate change.

    "The new target equates to only a two percent advance from Japan's previous pledge in the first commitment period," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a routine press conference. 

    BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China voiced its strong condemnation over the terrorist bombing in northwest Pakistan, saying it will continue to back Pakistan's combat against terrorism.

    "China strongly condemns the terrorist attack and extends its deep condolences to the victims and their families," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a routine press conference here Thursday.

    BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar State Peace and Development Council Vice-Chairman Maung Aye will pay an official visit to China June 15- 20 at the invitation of Vice President Xi Jinping, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said on Thursday.
